This role is a senior position within GTS Securities and Fund Services Operations management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational support of the ESES markets and the determination and execution of the operating model to support the Euroclear Single Platform.

Job background/ context:
  • This position will report to the Direct Custody and Clearing Operations Head for EMEA
  • The role is high profile with exposure to senior management within the GTS organization
  • Leadership and management of the Western European DCC operations for ESES, UK and Nordic markets impacted by the consolidation onto Single Platform
  • Implementation of the strategy of Global Operations and SFS Product for Direct Custody and Clearing operations in Western European markets consolidating within the Euroclear Single Platform
  • Initiation and implementation of organisational and system solutions to support the development of the business and its profitability
  • The successful candidate should be able to build strong business partnerships with a focus on accountability and contribution to market value through identification, development and implementation of specific and strategic business improvement opportunities
  • The incumbent will be responsible for the management and leadership of a team of approx 59 split across 2 locations with matrix responsibilities for an additional 36
Key responsibilities:
  • Management and development of staff
  • Operational oversight of the Euroclear Single Patform initiative
  • Management of operational aspects of market consolidation
  • Identification of opportunities to enhance efficiency through technology and organisational development
  • Ensure continuity on quality delivery to the customer base working closely with product on the development of new pipeline and implementation of new products and clients
  • Work closely with seniors in the region to ensure that the local plans are in line with regional and global strategy for operations and product
  • Maintain a pristine control environment
  • Preparation and management of the divisional budget and active financial control
  • Leadership of key projects

Knowledge/ experience:

  • Demonstrated interaction with senior management & customers
  • In depth knowledge of the securities industry with specific emphasis on direct custody and clearing including products, markets, competitors and clients

Qualifications: 
  • Degree in Business or related discipline or equivalent work experience
