SIG is expanding our China franchise and is actively looking for reputable Analysts that want to be a part of a ranked research platform. We are looking to continue SIG's success of delivering a differentiated research product to the market and seek an experienced Senior Analyst to cover emerging companies in China's Consumer Products industry.
As a Senior Analyst, you and your team will be responsible for comprehensive coverage of the sector. The team will conduct channel-checks, investigate independent research resources, create financial models, study academic opinions and seek other objective sources of information. The position will work closely with the firm's other China research analysts in a team-oriented environment to bring a broader analysis to reports.
The China Consumer Products Analyst will possess strong client and management contacts. You will be expected to prepare differentiated research reports and provide timely electronic updates for the firm's sales force and institutional clients. Individual marketing to institutional clients and facilitating access to senior management of coverage companies is also expected.
Provide comprehensive coverage of the sector
Conduct channel-checks, investigate independent research resources, create financial models, study academic opinions and seek other objective sources of information
Work closely with the firm's other China research analysts in a team-oriented environment to bring a broader analysis to reports
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience covering the Consumer Products industry, preferably in China
MBA or CFA preferred
Series 7, 86, 87 and 63
Strong fundamental analysis skills with an emphasis on industry related experience in their area of expertise
Five (5) or more years of experience working for an investment research firm
Fluent appropriate in local language(s); native Mandarin speakers preferred
Ability to produce unbiased premium quality sector and individual stock reports with an emphasis on comprehensive research tools including channel checking
Good corporate relationships as well as institutional relationships with major fund managers and hedge funds
Excellent research, communication and organizational skills
Travel is required
