Qualifications The Wealth Management Tax Manager will manage a team of 20-25 FTEs responsible for the production of Wealth Management tax reporting (1099 & 1042S Forms) & tax cost updates to the Wealth Management accounting system. The Tax Manager must have strong leadership and communication skills. This position requires communication directly with clients and client representatives on tax questions, regulatory changes and/or other tax inquiries. The Tax manager must have the ability to work with the Front office on the tax implications of new products or offerings. This position requires a strong working knowledge of tax and have the ability to design and build robust operational flows /systems in order to produce tax packages that meet the complex needs of the Wealth Management clients. In addition to managing the Tax Team this candidate must have the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business, regulatory and technological environment. Responsibilities This candidate must be a detailed oriented person with strong tax, operations and leadership capabilities. This position requires strong communication skills in order to work with, and influence various business partners.
Manage Tax Control and Tax Cost Teams, approx 20-25 FTES Deliver on technology initiatives that will enhance the client experience and regulatory adherence Effectively communicate and influence business partners located in Operations, Fiduciary and Service that have an impact of the tax reporting & tax cost processes. Effectively communicate with clients on complex tax reporting and tax regulations inquiries/issues. Review and monitor federal and state legislation and regulatory changes to the impact to tax reporting and operational processes Work with Corporate tax on regulatory/industry related topics impacting Wealth Management Participation in Asset Management, and Wealth Management Tax forums
