Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. Responsible for supporting the senior management with financial analysis and reporting, and preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.

Responsibilities:

  • Review of departmental expense accounts sourced from the PeopleSoft general ledger
  • Prepare and analyze standard reports
  • Identify and rectify any data classification issues with accounting
  • Provide accounting with high level commentary on variances
  • Preparation of expense variance analysis reports for senior management, providing key variance explanation
  • Particular focus on compensation analysis including headcount reporting and position tracking against budget
  • Support business leaders in position management and utilization of compensation budgets / investment proposals
  • Presentation and review of expense reports with senior management, providing follow-up analysis as required
  • Coordinate and prepare expense Budgets and Forecasts, providing analysis and reporting to management as required
  • Responsible for ensuring financial systems continue to reflect the activities and organizational structure; leading or taking an active role in implementing necessary system and reporting changes
  • Responsible for managing one financial analyst; both ensuring deadlines are met and personal development goals are achieved

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Staff management experience desirable
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Highly analytical with strong PC skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access) and Financial Systems; PeopleSoft and Hyperion
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Proven systems, technology and process improvement experience.
